New Features This Week

The Old Bid Flow Is Gone

We announced Budget back in September and ran both systems side by side while everyone moved across. That's finished — the old one-subcontractor-at-a-time bid flow has been removed entirely. Budget is now the only way to request and negotiate work, which means one place to look and one set of notifications to follow.

Task Templates

Project templates have saved a lot of setup time, so we took them further. You can now build reusable task templates, and pick a template while you're creating a project — including on mobile. The jobs you run over and over start filled in.

Plumbing and Electrical Calculators

The material calculators we shipped in beta are out of beta and joined by trade-specific ones for plumbing and electrical. Rough estimates now take seconds instead of a phone call.

Upcoming Status

Tasks can now be marked Upcoming — work that's committed but not yet started. It keeps the near future visible without cluttering what's actually in progress today.

PDF Exports and Faster Mobile Updates

Budgets export to PDF for sending on to a client, and materials and equipment attach to tasks on web. On mobile, most updates now arrive in the app itself — no App Store download, no waiting on review.

Tracking the Gear Itself

You can already log what a job consumed. Next we're tracking what you own — a real warehouse with equipment and materials, checked out to a person and checked back in, so the answer to "who has the laser level" lives in the app.
