Geofencing, Punch Clock, and Task Categories - May 2026
May 18, 2026
This one is about the ground truth of a job — who was on site, when, and in what order the work actually has to happen.
New Features This Week
Geofences That Match the Site
Our first geofences were circles, which works fine for a house and badly for anything else. You can now draw a polygon that follows the real boundary of a site — around a strip mall, along a road frontage, or across an irregular lot. Feeds show the geofence by name, so an arrival reads as a place rather than a coordinate.
Punch Clock History
Crews punch in and out from mobile, and you get the full history on web — by person, by day, by project. It lines up with the geofence data, so hours and site presence tell the same story.
Task Categories
Tasks can now be categorized, and projects carry a badge that reflects what's in them. Filtering a large project down to just electrical or just framing takes one click instead of a scroll.
Precedent Tasks
You can now say which task has to finish before another can start, and pick precedents from a proper selection view. The schedule understands the dependency rather than just showing two bars next to each other.

A Guided Way to Build an Invoice
Invoices work today, but building one still asks a lot of you. We're replacing the form with a step-by-step wizard that handles line items, tax, and discounts — and pulls the work you've already logged straight in.
