New Features This Week

The Invoicing Wizard

Building an invoice is now a guided flow rather than a blank form. Add line items, apply tax and percentage discounts, and see the total settle as you go. Pull work straight from a project or start from scratch — either way you end up with something you can send without a second pass in a spreadsheet.

Paying Subcontractors

Payments to subcontractors now run inside ZenHammer, tied to the bid they came from. The payment setup screen also picked up a Help view and a copy-to-clipboard phone number, because getting stuck on this step should not cost you an afternoon.

Seat-Based Plans — and Free Crew Leads

Your plan now counts seats by role, and we made Crew Lead free of charge across every plan. It never made sense to bill for the person who is only there to log the day's work. The Users page groups roles by whether they take a seat, and your seat usage is one click away from an explanation of exactly what you're paying for.

A Faster Activity Feed

We rebuilt how the activity feed pages through history. Long-running projects that used to crawl now scroll cleanly, however much has happened on them.

Crew Members on Assignments

When you assign a crew, you now see the individual members underneath it — on the assignment screen and on task detail. No more guessing who is actually turning up.

A Read-Only Reviewer Role

Clients, inspectors, and lenders often need to watch a job without being able to change it. You'll soon be able to invite them as a Reviewer — full visibility, no edit rights, and no seat on your plan.
